These modular cabins are the third iteration of a series of investigations into ecologically sustainable bushland retreats. The iconic A-frame is reinterpreted in a sustainable timber panel system that protects from the temperature extremes of the mountains and is particularly suited to bushfire protection. Soaring ceilings and massive glazed openings provide an immediacy with the surrounding landscape while the monolithic form protects and encloses.
